To Be Me

I want to feel a song

Rise in my chest

And fly from my lips

Ringing loud and clear

And full of joy

I want my spirit

To feel light and free

And soar high above

With sister hawk

On the warm currents

In a kind sky

I want to ride

On the broad strong back

Of my guardian protector

Brother horse

Carrying me through the fields

In the warm sunlight

I want my body

To be nimble and quick

To run with sister wolf

Beneath the light of

The full moon

With the wind blowing

Through my hair

I want the tears I shed

To be tears of joy

Not the tears of pain

I want to be

Me

Come and walk with me
Through these fields so dear
For I am with you
Hear the trill of the hawk
As she calls
Feel the wind softly blowing
Across your body
Smell the fresness of the rain
In the damp air
Feel the warmth of the sun
Shining on your face
Hear the bubbling of the creek
As it calmly rolls by
See the brillance of the bluebird's wing
As she flys from tree to tree

Come and walk with me
For I am with you
I am the hawk
Calling your name, bearing messages of love
I am the wind
My fingers gently caressing your skin
I am the scent of the rain
Weaving sweet nothings in your hair
I am the passion of the sun
My kiss on your face
I am the gentle stream
My delightful laughter, yours
I am the beauty of the bluebird's wing
My smile only for you

Come and walk with me
For I am with you

Dream Catcher

Among the Indians of the woodlands, the Ojibway believed that dreams have magical qualities, the ability to change or direct their path in life. Since the night air is filled with both good and bad dreams, one of the traditional beliefs was to hang a dream catcher on an infant's cradle board or in the lodges for the benefit of all.  When hung, the dream catcher captures the dream as they float by.  The good dreams knowing their way slip through the center hole, drifting gently off the soft feathers to the sleeper below.

The bad dreams not knowing the way become entangled in the webbing, only to perish with the first light of the new day.  Crafted by the elder women of the tribe, the originals were made of red willow, twisted sinew, and the feathers of birds.  The crystals are hung to the center or added into the web to enhance the dreams so that they may be better remembered the next day.

Hang them in your
homes and lodges
and

Happy Dreams

I was your only dream
You said so....
In your eyes, smile, and
In the promises you made
The many promises you made
To me

It was to be you and me together
As one
You were inside my skin
And I yours
My bones cried out to you
And we were one

I cast a spell on you
You did not know
But you will not forget me
You will think of me from your
Very soul
The sound of my voice will
Haunt you

You told me so
When we accidentally met
A few days ago
Girl, you said
I can't get you out of me
You are there every day haunting me

I smiled to myself and thought
You will never get away
I will always be there

But the fate, of our dreams was yours
And even though my heart was in your hands
I was the fool dancing over the flames
Did you make the right choice
Tell me boy, do you truly love her

And my fragile heart
That you held in your hands
You so carelessly cast to the side
As if it were nothing

And then you added another layer
Around my
Heart
But I'll stand tall
And all You will hear
Is the sound of my voice
Haunting you

The following two Dream Catchers I purchased from Sherry after giving her the specs for what I was looking for.  I had been looking in the local stores and shops along the back roads when it came to me to ask Sherry.  I am glad I did.  These are the most beautiful I have seen...and hold more dreams of peace because they were made for me.

Thank You Sherry!
