Believe In Me

My passion has not vanished, it only hides within the shame,
From ecstasy to agony, From thou who shares my name.
My soul is full of shadows, where my heart settles in disguise.
The affliction of my spirit, buried deep beneath mine eyes.
Thou fit a man of honor, a man of courage and of strength.
I've only rendered less than this and not endured the length.
Am I due forgiveness? What shall I pay and how?
To return me to my dearest love, re-sanctify the vow.
How can I summon from the Gods, a lightning bolt of trust
To cloak thee in these times of questioning me thus?
Know my heart of sorrow! Know my heart of pain!
I know not what to give my love to believe me once again!
I pledge my love, forever sweet, to thee, I swear to thee.
And if I lie, I surely die, hanged from a liar's tree.
So I give this offering, a writ of love I send to thee.
No more tears,
No more fears,
Oh, Please believe in me.
