Drowning in Blue

You're the soundless stirring
That echoes endeavor to my touchless heart.
You alone have inspired the leaf to turn,
And now I face you shadowless and arrived.
My forward intent declares boundaries unrivaled.
Creating a freshness we had once fashioned
Out of unconquered desperation.
Matching warmth for warmth in such recesses
Where no one has since composed in our image.

We painted each other with dreams.
Those portraits we collected
So many times over in our sleep,
Of tears and of sometimes blood.
Of fate that censored hate
Where loves color would only show.

Quietly considering your eyes.
I find myself drowning in blue in front of you.
The refreshing taste of hopelessness
When its you who is looking my way.
I am falling again.
