It was a warm breezy night.  i had not seen Dan for 8 years and was feeling assured that the night would be incredible. I was with 2 friends who were not  that familiar with Dan , but were up for spending the night in Portsmouth and having some fun. I told them before the show "it's not just a concert it is a spiritual experience."  Dan then opened with "Magic every moment" "there' s a miracle each day" I loved it! My friend Dennis said "When I heard the first song I knew I would Love the rest."  He started singing "Magic every moment".

My friend Katheryn recognized many of his songs and so did Dennis, they didn't realize that Dan was the one who sang them. I had to give them a 101 Fogelberg course during the show. We LOVED IT!!!!!!! Dan was in rare form. I couldn't believe it. he was 8 yrs older but his playing and singing were as good as ever.  I lost myself for awhile in his presence. I was just  enjoying being where I was and I tuned out, for a bit,  Not unusual for me at one of Dan's concerts. His  singing "To the Morning" dedicated to the 30 yr. fans was astounding. It reminded me of Pine Knob In Detroit 18 yrs. ago when He thanked his fans who had been with him since "Home Free" and then sang "To the Morning." I held my breathe through most of the song, when I wasn't singing.

Dan really seemed to connect with  the audience and he  seemed to be having fun. I know we were. after the first encore some people  left, but for those of us who were still there we were all standing and dancing when Dan and the band were singing "if I needed someone" (a tribute to the late George Harrison) It was so much fun! It was worth waiting 8 yrs. for. Dan played for 2 hrs., but it is never long enough. I never want the night to end. I never want him to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!! All in all we had a great time and I am so glad that I got to see Dan again. I was really missing him!!!! I can't wait for Dan's new CD and I pray that a tour will follow!!
