WAITING

Waiting
for my time to see you even though you're just a friend
Oh
your eyes how they touch me and reach a place I've never been
I'm
not sure I want to go there for I'd travel there alone
I
can't take you on this journey because you have a home
Waiting
for my time to hear you there is magic in your voice
I
must hide what I feel and with both I have no choice
I
can't you what’s inside me it's a heaven mixed with hell
I
can only give you friendship to get out of myself
Waiting
for my chance to touch you in a very casual way
And
I feel you touch my spirit but it's something I can't say
For
your heart is with another and my Father will not rest
Till
I exorcise desire and do what I know best
Waiting
for my chance to tell you that it's time for me to go
Though
I'd rather stay and hold you even though it's wrong I know
I'll
just leave you with a smile till we meet on neutral ground
Will there ever be another to take what you have found
