What Kind of Love is This?

The children are crying
But you never seem to hear
You just sit there in your easy chair
And pop another beer

Still you tell me that you love me
And ask me for a kiss
But inside I keep wondering
What kind of love is this?

And the days roll into months
And the months roll into years
And Love grows cold and joyless
Behind a shroud of fears.

It's been a long day baby
I've been slandered and used
They put me through the wringer
And my tender heart's been bruised
How I wish that you would hold me
Instead, you scold me too.

Still you tell me that you love me
And ask me for a kiss
But inside I keep wondering
What kind of love is this?

And the days roll into months
And the months roll into years
And Love grows cold and joyless
Behind a shroud of fears.

What kind
What kind of love is this?
